Achievements

Academic Achievements –

1. Sugita Scholar – Chosen as Sugita scholar and got trained in micro-neurosurgery at Nagoya university school of medicine, Nagoya, Japan, For 3 months from May to July 2003.
2. UICC Fellow - Selected as Fellow of UICC (international union against cancer) to do clinical Research at, Hospital for sick kids, Dept of Neurosurgery, U of Toronto, Toronto, Canada.
3. Research Scholar – Selected as Research fellow at the state of the art Brain tumor research center at University of Toronto, Toronto, from October ‘05 to January’06, did bench research for brain tumors and for inhibition of their growth in lab using laminin inhibitors.
4. Asia Epilepsy workshop – Selected as one of the three representatives from India for Asia epilepsy workshop in Shizouka, Japan in April 2006.
5. Guinness world Records – Name got included and Guinness book issued a certificate on November 2006, for removing the most numbers of brain tumors from a patient at a single sitting.
6. Volunteer Services – Chosen as member of Federation of international education in Neurosurgery and deputed at Northwest Peru for Volunteering Neurosurgical services as an international faculty for April 2007 and June 2008.
7. Reviewer of Elsevier – Reviewing the Articles of journal NEUROIMAGE, Published by Elsevier from October 2006.
8. Visiting Professor – Invited as a visiting Professor of Neurosurgery at Medical university of South Carolina, USA, University of Michigan and UCLA Neurosurgery dept in June 2008.
9. UICC Cancer control – Recognized by UICC as a cancer control doctor from October 2007 to September 2008 in Asia.
10. 10. Brain Science Foundation Scholarship awarded for attending 6th International Congress on Meningioma and Cerebral Venous System in Boston in September 2008.

1. Worked in Japan as a Sugita fellow.
2. Worked in Zurich, Universitspital as visiting fellow.
3. Worked as a clinical & research fellow at Hospital for sick children’s, & Brain tumor research center, University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada.

5. Volunteer Services to Peru, Northwest Peru (Chiclayo, Trujillo and Piura National Hospitals in April 2007, June 2008 & September 2009)

Present Responsibilities –

1. Teaching of undergraduate and Post Graduate Medical students at a Tertiary Medical institute and a reputed Medical School in North India since Aug 2003.
2. Ongoing clinical Research on epidemiology of brain tumors and Neuro- cysticercus in the state Uttranchal.
