Professional Experience: -

I have started my Neurosurgery career in Jan 1998, at SGPGIMS, Lucknow. This is a tertiary care center, one of the super-speciality, university hospital in north India. Here I have learned surgery for all types of cranial and spinal tumors. I have independently operated head injuries and gliomas, meningiomas and spinal surgeries including instrumentation and tumors like ependymomas and astrocytomas. During my training I have attended Neuro-endoscopy workshop with pioneers, Prof. A. Pernezcsky and with Prof. M. Gabb.

During the training I have assisted more than 50 cases of aneurysms and similar numbers of skull base tumors like vestibular schwanomma, pituitary tumors, intra- ventricular tumors, tumors of 3rd ventricle and pineal region tumors in various surgical positions and with different approaches. During this period I have attended 3rd ACNS conference in Nagoya, Japan and visited fujita Health University and Nagoya university school of medicine, Nagoya, Japan. In Feb 2001, I have presented paper in SAARC Conference at Dhaka, Bangladesh.

In 2001, I joined, Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi, as an Associate consultant and independently managed and operated all types of intracranial and spinal tumors and other CNS disorders. My clinical research was mainly focused on spinal dysraphism, and published three manuscripts on split cord malformation. I have worked in Nagoya university hospital, Japan, as a Sugita scholar for three months in the Dept. of Neurosurgery and got training for various sub-specialty of Neurosurgery and worked in brain tumor lab and learned techniques of Glioma cells culture and the effect of drugs on their growth. I have done fiber dissection course of brain at fujita health university, Aichi, Japan. I have been the recipient of UICC award from Geneva in 2005 and worked at hospital for sick children at Toronto, as a fellow. I have also worked as a research fellow at Brain tumor research center, University of Toronto and did basic research on Human Glioma. Presently, I am working as in charge of Neurosurgery department and operating 20- 25 cases per month including trauma and all Cranio-spinal tumors, spinal degenerative diseases, epilepsy surgery and vascular surgery.
